Experience Beauty, Peace, and Rest...
Located on over 200 acres of rolling prairie, quiet woods and refreshing river banks, the new MICAH Retreat Center offers a place to seek God without noise, rush and stress. The retreat facility, with its wind turbine, green roof and post and beam interior offers a large, modern kitchen, inspirational main room, small conference room and peaceful living quarters with beautiful views of the Red River Valley.
Take a meditative stroll along the wooded prayer path; quietly leave worries behind as you walk the labyrinth that over looks the valley. Be led on an inner journey of discovery along the pilgrimage route, snowshoe across the prairie, canoe down the river, or simply sit under a tree and notice the day meander by.

MICAH has a new blog based off the popular cooking classes we have been offering. As a continuation of the principles taught, we decided to start a blog where the class participants and others can exchange healthy cooking recipes, ask questions, and encourage each other as we journey toward healthier eating.
Check it out at:

Fresh Voices, Fresh Air
from the Crookston Daily Times
The youth in this summer’s Fresh Voices program housed at the U of M, Crookston, in which they work on projects that share their cultures with others, ventured to the Minnesota Institute of Contemplation and Healing (MICAH) northeast of Crookston over the weekend to experience nature firsthand while also working on their projects [...]. Holy Doodles, Cartoons to Contemplate is a fun ongoing section of the MICAH website. The pictures you find here are images that came to mind from meditating on scripture passages, books, past events, conversations with friends and family, and from simply trying to be attentive to God in my everyday life. Following each drawing is a short paragraph about the drawing itself along with a few questions to ponder and discuss.
The cartoons are copyrighted, however you are very welcome to use them as long as you credit where they came from. My hope is that these pictures will stretch your mind just enough to cause you to think more deeply about your life with God.

Tailored Drawings to
Enhance Your Events
A friend of mine recently asked if I would draw some images to go along with each day's theme of his church camp. He gave me the ideas and scripture verses and then I drew the following pictures. Each morning the campers will be given the day's picture to look at, contemplate, and discuss.
