Integrative Medicine addresses all factors that affect health (mind, body, spirit, and lifestyle). The patient and practitioner partner to seek health and healing, making use of appropriate conventional and natural therapies.
An individualized care plan is developed for each patient. We have a wonderful receptionist who not only coordinates all of our schedules, but greets in a manner that helps people feel welcomed and relaxed.

Referrals are not necessary. Appointments can be made to see any of the providers at the center. You do not need to see the physician prior to seeing the massage therapist, acupuncturist, psychologist or spiritual director.
We are happy to be the primary care provider, or an individual can also come for a natural medicine services and consultation without having to switch doctors. In order to help coordinate care and keep it integrated with all health services, we offer to send official letters of consultation to primary care or referring practitioners.

Acupuncture
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a holistic form of highly individualized healthcare that has been used for over 3,000 years. TCM therapies balance the body, mind and spirit and promote self-healing. TCM aims to detect and correct the root or cause of a condition in addition to its symptoms or branches.
Acupuncture is the most widely known and utilized Traditional Chinese Medicine therapy in the United States. Acupuncture is safe and effective and involves the insertion of thin, sterile, disposable needles at certain points on the body. Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine can be used for a broad range of health conditions, including:
- allergies, asthma
- common cold
- digestive issues
- headaches
- insomnia
- adverse effects of chemotherapy
- back, joint, muscle, and sciatic pain
- anxiety, depression, stress, and addiction
- fertility, menstrual irregularities, and menopause
- acne, eczema, psoriasis
Your first acupuncture appointment will take approximately 90 mixtures and involves a thorough intake regarding your primary health concern and overall well being and initial treatment. your pulse will be taken and your tongue examined which is unique to Chinese Medicine. We will discuss treatment plans and recommendations for achieving your health goals.
Acupuncture needs are very thin and most people report little or no discomfort while being needled. Once in place you may experience sensations at the point such as warmth, tingling, or distention, which signal the body's response to the needles and are favorable. Our clinic uses only sterile disposable needles that are discarded after each use and the practitioner adheres to strict Clean Needle Technique standards.
The number of treatments and their frequency varies extensively based upon patient and their reason for seeking acupuncture treatment. Generally the longer a condition has persisted the longer course of treatment. More severe conditions will necessitate more frequent treatments.
Massage
Massage can bring about healing in a variety of areas including relieving stress, eliminate migraine or sinus headaches, managing pain, and improving circulation. Massage Therapy works best as a preventative therapy however it can improve an already deteriorating condition. Our massage therapist is specially trained in the Barnes method of Myofascial release and in neuromuscular massage.
Psychotherapy / Counseling Services
Our psychologist provides individual, couples and family psychotherapy. Referrals are not necessary. Because of our commitment to a holistic approach we feel that in order to truly address our state of well being, it is often necessary to explore more deeply one's emotional state. Psychotherapy can help provide incite and tools to work with how our mind, thoughts and relationships affect our health and lifestyle habits.
Spiritual Direction
Spiritual Direction is the art of helping others notice and attend to the presence of God in their life. Your spiritual director will help you notice how God is working, calling, prodding, and inviting you to new ways of life. Spiritual Direction is for anyone longing for a greater sense of God in their life.
